Prepared to Serve
Gain critical insight into your own knowledge, skills and experiences and prepare to leverage your talents on the non-profit boards that serve our community.
Board Bootcamp is an intensive program of 4 distinct modules that meets both in person and asynchronously, online.
The Talent Show
We are excited to announce “The Talent Show,” the graduation ceremony for Board Bootcamp Cohort II—a celebration of the emerging leaders in our community who are prepared to serve on boards, commissions, committees and in elected positions.
Every year, hundreds of Evanston residents volunteer their time and expertise through board service.
Unfortunately, nonprofit boards do not reflect the diversity of our community. Our boards should include those historically absent from the table because we deserve the innovation that comes from inclusivity. Organizations where individuals feel heard, valued, and respected have higher engagement, retention, and enhanced revenue streams.
Board Bootcamp is designed to prepare historically underrepresented individuals for board service. Through interactive and hands-on experiences, participants will gain critical insight into their own knowledge, skills and abilities and learn how to leverage their talents to serve our community.
